Quetta: The timely action of the security forces against terrorists in the border area of Panjgur in Balochistan has averted a major threat, on which the country’s top political leadership has jointly expressed satisfaction.
Three militants associated with Fitna-ul-Hindustan were killed during the operation, while a search operation is underway in the area to eliminate further threats.
President Asif Ali Zardari said that the resolve of the nation and the forces in the ongoing struggle against terrorism is unwavering. According to him, the state will take all possible steps to deal with the threats arising from external interference.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also appreciated the success of the forces and said that indiscriminate operations will continue to establish peace and order in Pakistan. He termed the services of martyrs and security personnel as the nation’s capital.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti said on this occasion that the provincial government, in collaboration with security agencies, is implementing a zero-tolerance policy against terrorist elements.
The clear stance of the political and military leadership has given a message that anti-national activities will be thwarted at all levels and the process of peace and development will continue in Balochistan.
