Islamabad: The Foreign Office spokesperson has announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has been invited by US President Donald Trump to join the Gaza Peace Board. Pakistan will fully participate in efforts for peace and security at the global level and will cooperate with other countries in this regard.
The Foreign Office further explained that Pakistan will continue its support for a sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with the United Nations resolutions. The spokesperson said that international cooperation is essential for establishing lasting peace in Gaza and Pakistan will play its role strongly at the international level for this purpose.
According to experts, this invitation will further highlight Pakistan’s role of transparency and mediation in global peace efforts and will play an important role for lasting peace in Palestine.
