Rana Sanaullah, the advisor to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has accused the PTI provincial government of trying to attack Islamabad three times. He was speaking at an event in Faisalabad and criticized the party’s way of doing politics and its leaders.

Rana Sanaullah said that the PTI is using its position in a provincial government to stage multiple protests aimed at destabilizing Islamabad. He also took a jab at PTI’s leadership, mentioning former first lady Bushra Bibi, who supposedly claimed that Pathans are known for their loyalty and bravery. But he also noted that while some protestors were steadfast at D-Chowk, Bushra Bibi and other leaders, including Ali Amin Gandapur, disappeared from the scene.

The senior PML-N leader also said that if PTI leaders had stayed at D-Chowk, their supporters might have shown more dedication. He pointed out that this is a recurring problem in the party’s leadership style.

Rana Sanaullah also talked about recent political changes, like the registration of madrassas, praising Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s positive approach. He was hopeful that discussions in Parliament would solve the issue without protests.

He also addressed the rise of divisive politics, saying that the PTI has been encouraging a culture of hostility since 2017, especially among the youth, who are being taught to label political opponents as thieves and looters, which undermines respectful political discussion.

Lastly, he talked about the recent events in Punjab, saying that he advised the Chief Minister against imposing unnecessary restrictions, predicting little public support for PTI protests in the province. He concluded that the politics of abuse and confrontation have caused significant damage to the country’s democratic foundation.
