Submarine cable repair may affect internet speed

Islamabad: Naytel, a leading internet service provider, has informed its users that internet service across the country may be affected on January 15 due to repair work on an international submarine cable.

According to the company, the repair work will begin at around 2 pm and may continue for up to eight hours. During this time, users may experience significant slowdown in internet speed, data delays and temporary outages in some areas.

Naytel informed its users through an email that the repair is inevitable and data traffic will be diverted through alternative routes to avoid a complete blackout.
