Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly rejected the recent statement of the Indian Foreign Minister, saying that India is once again trying to divert global attention from its state-sponsored role in terrorism and instability in the region.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said in a statement that India’s role in promoting terrorism in the region is not hidden from anyone. He said that the allegations made by the Indian leadership are irresponsible, baseless and contrary to facts.
According to the spokesperson, the Kulbhushan Jadhav case is a clear example of India’s state-level terrorist activities against Pakistan. He said that India has serious allegations such as target killings, sabotage and supporting terrorist networks abroad, which cannot be ignored at the global level.
He further said that Hindutva ideology is promoting extremism and violence, while India’s illegal and oppressive military occupation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir still persists.
Regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, the spokesperson clarified that unilateral violation of this treaty could prove dangerous for the peace and stability of the region, and Pakistan will take every legal and diplomatic route to protect its water rights.
