Karachi: The US dollar is trading steadily in Pakistan’s open market today, as the greenback is continuing to draw attention from importers, students, and overseas Pakistanis. The dollar is being bought at Rs 280.75, while the selling rate is standing at Rs 283.00, reflecting a stable demand situation.
Market activity is showing that businesses are continuing routine payments, while families are closely watching movements because many essential imports are dollar-linked. At the same time, Pakistani professionals and students connected with the United States are actively monitoring the rate, as tuition fees and remittances remain tied to the dollar.
The dollar’s stability is also offering some planning space for local businesses and households, as sudden volatility is not being seen in today’s open market session.
