New sugar prices fixed in Karachi, wholesale and retail rates implemented

Karachi: To protect citizens from the pressure of inflation, the district administration has officially announced the new prices of sugar in Karachi. According to a notification issued by the Commissioner Karachi, the wholesale price of sugar in the city has been fixed at Rs 140 per kg while the retail price has been fixed at Rs 143 per kg, which has come into effect immediately.The administration says that indiscriminate action will be taken against shopkeepers who exceed the fixed rates. According to the Commissioner Karachi, the aim of this measure is to ensure the supply of essential commodities to the general consumers at the fixed price.The notification has directed all shopkeepers to display the official rate list in a prominent place so that buyers do not face any confusion regarding prices. According to district officials, field teams will regularly visit markets to maintain stability in sugar prices and legal action will be taken in case of violations.
