Good news for the business community; Private sector proposals on tax reforms now part of the government’s agenda

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan’s business and industrial community is playing an important role in national development by paying taxes, and the government values ​​all such institutions and companies that regularly contribute to the national exchequer.

Speaking at a meeting of the Tax Reform Working Group, the Prime Minister said that private sector experts have presented important and comprehensive suggestions related to tax policy, which must be taken forward. In this regard, he has decided to form a new committee under the chairmanship of the Finance Minister, which will enable these suggestions to be given a policy shape.

The Prime Minister said that the government has paid special attention to promoting exports and strengthening the economic structure since assuming power. According to him, improving the economy and making the business environment more competitive is part of the government’s long-term strategy.
