Rawalpindi: To maintain law and order, the district administration has imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Under the decision, all political and social gatherings, protest activities and processions will be prohibited until further orders.
The announcement said that the police and related agencies have been given the authority to take strict action to deal with any illegal activity or unauthorized gathering. Citizens have been instructed to understand the sensitivity of the situation and stay away from any action that falls under the category of violation of the law.
In this regard, an analyst says that in the current circumstances, this step of the administration is part of the security strategy, the aim of which is to deal with possible unrest in a timely manner and prevent civilian life from being affected.
