Islamabad: Under the Fuel Price Review, the government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel — the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 263.45 per liter and the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) at Rs 279.65 per liter, which will be effective from December 1, 2025.
In the last few weeks, the public was very worried due to purchasing power and inflation, but this reduction is expected to have a positive impact on the driving citizens and the transport sector.
The government notification has stated that this reduction in prices has been made keeping in mind the recommendations of OGRA and the current global oil market situation.
Experts say that this is definitely a relief for the time being, but on a permanent basis the prices will depend on the international market and the exchange rate of the rupee.
