Speaker in the National Assembly appeals for dialogue with the opposition

National Assembly

Islamabad: Speaker in the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, invited the opposition parties for talks and said that talks are necessary to resolve the political issues of the country.

In the meeting, Mahmood Khan Achakzai refused to talk to the Speaker and said that he was not a real representative, to which the Speaker said that he had defeated your leader twice and was still available for talks. The Speaker urged the opposition that problems would not be resolved without dialogue.

On this occasion, PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar said that despite participating in the talks, party members were expelled from the Parliament House, and our members were severely harmed in the recent incidents. He said that the Chief Minister is also not able to meet his leader, however, we will always maintain our position in the interest of Pakistan.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that his role is to facilitate the talks, and the boycott by the opposition is affecting this process. He appealed that the dialogue should continue so that political tension reduces and issues are resolved through parliamentary channels.
