Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange remained bearish during this trading week, as investors remained cautious and watched the market.

The PSX-100 index closed at 159,592 points, down 2,038 points at the end of the week. The market fluctuated by 5,682 points during the trading session, with a high of 163,935 and a low of 158,252.

A total of 4.43 billion shares were traded in the market, valued at Rs 180.9 billion. Analysts say investors are cautious ahead of upcoming financial announcements, which is putting temporary pressure on the market.

According to experts, if economic indicators improve, the stock market is likely to improve next week, but investors should be prepared for short-term volatility.
