SNGPL sends application of Rs 189 per MMBtu increase in gas tariff to OGRA

Lahore: SNGPL, the gas supplier company for the northern regions, has filed an application before OGRA to increase the price According to the petition, the average price of gas is proposed to be fixed at Rs 1,955.50 per MMBtu, which is currently Rs 1,766.50, i.e., an increase of about Rs 189 has been demanded.

Moreover, the petition has also asked for a charge of Rs 316.64 per unit under LNG service. OGRA has also issued a schedule for November 7 for the hearing on this matter.

In the petition, the company has also mentioned its financial difficulties, which include an expected revenue shortfall of Rs 52.95 billion.
