Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Secretary General Salman Akram Raja paid an important visit to Karachi, where he met with leaders of the party’s Sindh and Karachi units. The meeting focused on the party’s current political challenges, organisational matters and the strategy to release Imran Khan.
On this occasion, Raja held mandatory consultations with party leaders Haleem Adil Sheikh, Shabbir Qureshi and Jamal Siddiqui, in which it was decided that the first big public rally would be held in Karachi in November, after which the campaign would be expanded to other major cities, including Hyderabad.
Raja told the media that this campaign is not just a political gathering but a broad movement of public communication, which aims to promote the constitution, law and public rights. He clarified that PTI is moving forward with determination to release Imran Khan and is active for the rule of law and transparency. Besides criticising the ruling party’s service record in Sindh over the past years, Raja said that the people now want change and the party is committed to providing this change.
