Karachi: If you are feeling slow on the internet today, don’t worry! PTCL has clarified that internet service across the country may be affected for up to 18 hours due to necessary repair work on the international cable.
According to a PTCL spokesperson, the work has started at 11 am on October 14 and is likely to continue till late night. During the repair, users may experience slow service or partial shutdown.
According to the company, this work is being done to repair a key repeater installed in the cable, so that the speed and stability of the network can be improved in the future.
PTCL Group has apologized to customers for the temporary inconvenience and assured that the service will be restored as soon as the repairs are completed and the speed will be better than before.
This work is being done by the International Cable Consortium, which provides internet connectivity to many countries in the region, including Pakistan.
