Karachi: Internet users in Pakistan may face service slowdown or disruption on October 14 as PTCL has announced necessary repairs to the submarine cable.

According to a PTCL spokesperson, the repair process of the repeater installed in the cable by the International Cable Consortium will begin at 11 am on October 14 and is expected to continue for 18 hours.

The company has clarified that there may be temporary disruption or slowdown in the internet during this time, however, full restoration of the service will be possible soon.

The PTCL team has said that “we have activated alternative network routes so that customers do not face much inconvenience.”
