Lahore: Motorways have been reopened for general traffic across the country, including Punjab. According to the Motorway Police, traffic is flowing on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) and Faisalabad Motorway (M-3) after the protests ended.
Earlier, Babu Sabu, Thokar Niaz Baig and some other interchanges were closed as a precautionary measure, but now all these routes have been restored for public transport.
A spokesperson for the Motorway Police said that passengers have been directed to adhere to the speed limit and take precautionary measures while driving. He said that patrolling is going on as usual on the motorway so that immediate assistance can be provided to passengers in any difficult situation.
Citizens have expressed satisfaction over the restoration of the motorway, saying that this will reduce travel difficulties and business activities will also return to normal.
