Lahore: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has appreciated the strong response of the Pakistan Army to the border provocation by Afghanistan. He paid tribute to the security personnel who fought bravely and called the twenty-three martyrs the pride of the nation.
The Prime Minister prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and expressed condolences to their families. He also expressed his best wishes for the injured soldiers and prayed for their speedy recovery.
He said that there will be no compromise on the security of Pakistan’s borders. Every kind of provocation will be responded to effectively. He said that the Pakistani forces have always fought against external attacks with determination and will continue to do so in the future.
PM Shahbaz Sharif said that the entire nation stands with its forces. He reminded that Pakistan has informed the Afghan authorities several times about the presence of terrorist elements across the border. He expressed hope that the Afghan government would take serious steps to prevent its land from being used by terrorist elements.
