ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has taken a clear and unequivocal stand on the threatening remarks of Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the Indian military leadership. Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the statements of the Indian leadership are a failed attempt to restore the credibility lost on its soil. According to him, India has been defeated “0-6” in the last conflict, and this bitter reality has pushed the Modi government into a defensive position.

Khawaja Asif said in a post that if India again makes an adventure, this time the response will be much tougher and more decisive than before. He said that Pakistan was established in the name of Allah, and its protectors are “soldiers of Allah”, who are ready at any moment to protect the country. He sarcastically said that the Indian leadership has lost its public credibility, and is now trying to hide its failures through aggressive statements.

On the other hand, Pakistan Army Spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry warned that such baseless threats by India could increase tensions in the region. According to the spokesperson, Pakistan has made it clear at all levels that if any new conflict or adventure is launched, the response will be strong, decisive and devastating.

According to defense experts, India’s political leadership is currently under internal pressure, while Pakistan’s stance is based on constant restraint and defensive preparedness. There is also an atmosphere of confidence in the country at the public level that the Pakistani forces are fully prepared to protect the country’s borders.

Analysts say that the recent statements are just a “war of words”, but if regional leaders do not act wisely, these statements can turn into practical tensions. It is hoped that both countries will keep diplomatic channels open so that the chances of peace remain.
