Islamabad: US President Donald Trump has presented a proposed peace deal for Gaza, which includes several important points. According to the deal, an interim technocratic government will be formed in the Gaza Strip, Israel will not annex Gaza, and Palestinians will not be forcibly evicted.
The deal stipulates that if Hamas accepts the deal, there will be an immediate ceasefire and all Palestinian prisoners will be released within 72 hours. The list includes 1,700 people, including 250 prisoners who have been sentenced to death.
Israeli forces will withdraw from Gaza in phases, while international aid will be provided for reconstruction. Regional and international forces will take over security responsibility, and the Palestinian police will be given special training.
President Trump, paying tribute to the role of Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, said that Pakistan has taken practical steps to establish peace in the Middle East and shown the world that it is a true architect in promoting peace.
