Talal Chaudhry strongly criticizes KP government for not fulfilling security responsibility

Faisalabad: Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry has strongly criticized the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) regarding its measures against terrorism and has made it clear that making the country safe for investment is the first goal. Talking to journalists in Faisalabad, he claimed that if there is any deficiency in the country regarding security today, it is due to the shortcomings of the political governments.

Talal Chaudhry reminded that terrorism had been eliminated from the country in 2018 and then questioned the current situation and said that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should tell what steps they have taken to eliminate terrorism. He said that on the one hand, we are talking to Afghanistan, but there is no concrete result.

The Minister of State said in a very strong tone that terrorists are martyring our soldiers and innocent children, how is it possible to talk to such elements? Announcing a two-pronged policy, he said that “those who fire bullets will be talked to only through bullets”. He added that it is the primary responsibility of the KP government to stand behind the security forces at all times. In contrast, he referred to the situation in Punjab where the Chief Minister is holding public meetings and “no declaration of war or sticks are being thrown”. He also gave details of the recent operation by the security forces in Karak in which 17 miscreants were killed and more than six were arrested.
