Punjab government’s big step: Decision to establish a modern energy lab with Rs 160 million

Lahore: Following complaints of rising electricity bills and substandard products, the Punjab government has decided to establish a modern energy-saving laboratory in the province. This laboratory will test batteries, fans and solar devices so that only high-quality products are available to consumers.

Officials say that due to low-quality items in the market, the public is facing high electricity bills and low efficiency. The quality of equipment from local factories will also be tested in this laboratory so that quality products come to the market.

The project also includes upgrading the province’s existing solar testing labs. According to experts, this step will significantly increase energy efficiency and support the local industry.

The Punjab government has allocated Rs 160 million for the feasibility of this project. It is expected that in the coming days, the public will get such products that will not only save electricity but will also be light on the pocket.
