Pakistan Stock Market hits new high of 162154 points, investor confidence restored

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a huge rally on Friday when the PSX 100 Index rose by 2873 points in a single day to reach a high of 162154 points. Along with this, the market crossed the thresholds of 160,000, 61,000 and 62,000 points in a single day for the first time.

According to business experts, this extraordinary increase is the result of increasing investor confidence, government economic policies and hopes for economic improvement in the future.

Yesterday too, the stock market set a new record, crossing the 159,000-point milestone for the first time.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed happiness over this excellent performance and said, “This success is a reflection of the business community’s confidence in the government’s policies. The country is moving towards development after stability and this journey will continue rapidly, God willing.”
