Pakistan’s weekly inflation rate drops by 0.16 percent, 17 items expensive and 11 cheaper

Islamabad: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has released a weekly inflation report and said that the average inflation rate in the country has decreased by 0.16 percent, after which the annual rate has reached 3.95 percent.

According to the data, in the recent week, the prices of 17 items increased and the prices of 11 items decreased, while the prices of 23 items remained stable.

According to the report, tomatoes became more expensive by 9.04 percent, eggs by 0.88 percent, flour by 0.76 percent, jaggery by 0.64 percent, dry milk by 0.58 percent, washing soup by 0.47 percent and mutton by 0.40 percent.

On the other hand, the price of chicken decreased by 12.46 percent, while bananas became cheaper by 4.22 percent and potatoes by 2.44 percent. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, onions became cheaper by 1.61 percent and LPG by 0.65 percent.
