Dera Ghazi Khan: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that she will not leave the people of Punjab alone in difficult times, it is the government’s responsibility to fully compensate the losses of the families affected by the floods.
Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the electric bus service, Maryam Nawaz said that “It is regrettable that some parties are doing politics on a serious issue like the flood, the people need practical steps, not advice.”
She said that flood victims do not get any major relief from the Rs 10,000 Benazir Income Support Program, so the government will compensate for the losses of their houses and crops.
The Chief Minister clarified that “I am the Chief Minister of Punjab, for me every area of the province is equal, just as a mother does not differentiate between her children, similarly I do not differentiate between the people of Punjab.”
Furthermore, she said that Pakistan should not repeatedly extend its hands in front of the world. “I am the daughter of Nawaz Sharif, and my goal is to see my people self-sufficient and strong.”
