Pakistan’s economy is moving in the right direction, says Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb


​ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis are a lifeline for Pakistan’s economy and it is proof that the country’s economy is moving in the right direction. He expressed these views while addressing a function in Islamabad.
​The Finance Minister stressed that the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is working tirelessly to put the country on the path of economic stability and development.

He said that this journey is just the beginning and many more important steps are under consideration for the sustainable development of the country.


​Muhammad Aurangzeb reiterated the commitment to reforms in energy, banking and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). He said that these reforms are aimed at ensuring continuity in policies and better government management. He added that administrative reforms are also being introduced, the positive results of which will be revealed soon.
He concluded his speech by saying that the ultimate goal of the government is to lead the country towards sustainable development and economic strength so that Pakistan’s economic condition can be further strengthened in the future.
