Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a significant rally on the second day of the trading week and the PSX-100 Index reached a new high. At the end of the day, the 100 Index rose by 476 points to close above 157,000 points.
During the trading session, the index also touched a record high of 157,088 points, while at one point during the day it also fell to a low of 155,044 points.
More than 1.6 billion shares were traded in the market today, with a total value of more than Rs 55 billion. This increase in the market was recorded due to the increasing confidence and positive trend of investors.
It may be recalled that the 100 Index closed at 156,087 points at the end of the trading session yesterday.
