Heavy rains predicted in Punjab and Islamabad, citizens should be careful: NDMA

Islamabad: he National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a new alert saying that heavy rains may begin in Punjab and Islamabad during the next 24 hours.

According to the report, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Chiniot, Faisalabad and Sargodha may be affected by rain.

Along with this, rain has also been predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Multan, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan.

The NDMA has advised citizens to stay away from rivers and streams, avoid unnecessary travel and take precautionary measures as the rains can increase the problems in flood-affected areas.
